BESPOKE FRAME MAKERS

BESPOKE CONSERVATION FRAMING

Established in 2014, The Framers is an independent workshop in Islington dedicated to bespoke picture framing. Every frame is designed and made in-house, shaped through curiosity and dialogue with artists and collectors, and created to preserve the art while refining the way it is experienced.

OUR APPROACH

We develop creative framing and presentation solutions that respond to the character of each artwork, combining traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic.

At times this may mean a minimal hardwood frame that recedes subtly; for others, a distinctive profile or a tailored mounting method developed specifically for the piece. Each commission is shaped to protect, support and elevate the way the art is experienced.

Our approach prioritises conservation, balancing craftsmanship with design. Materials are chosen for stability and longevity. Surfaces and finishes are refined for tone and texture. Glazing is selected to preserve clarity while providing protection.
