Searching for the appropriate solutions to approach a specific project is a process that often requires experimentation. These projects can be challenging and rewarding at the same time as the results can be unique.
PAINTED AND STAINED
Our painted and stained frames are all hand finished using the highest quality pigment paints and stains creating striking and subtle tones and colours. ​
FLOAT FRAMES
When glazing isn’t viable or preferable, tray frames offer a great alternative. It’s an effective way to present artworks in a subtle and elegant way as the moulding face can be very thin. It particularly suits canvases and thicker artworks on boards.
NATURAL HARDWOODS
Our hardwood stock includes tulip, beech, sapele, maple, oak, cherry and walnut. This provides options from a light pale wood like maple to rich dark wood such as black walnut. Our mouldings are specially milled for us by our specialist sawmill partners ensuring sustainable high quality woods.
GILDING
We use both traditional water and oil gilding techniques using 23.5ct gold leaf to help enhance the beauty of your artwork. Many interesting effects can be achieved, this may be a highly burnished frame, or a distressed frame emphasising texture.
